Mikulski Announces $2 Million to Extend Broadband in Maryland
The Maryland Broadband Cooperative (MDBC) is a public/private partnership to promote economic development through the deployment of technology supporting infrastructures.
Our Mission is to drive economic development through universal, open access to broadband services via a fiber optic network that serves rural Maryland by building an advanced, world-class broadband network across the rural communities of Eastern, Southern and Western Maryland supported by its’ members who provide "Last Mile" services.
Under a grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the MDBC will be performing boradband data collection and mapping activities for the state of Maryland. Additionally, the MDBC has been designated the official NTIA entity for the state of Maryland.
